Abstract

This paper was intended to discover and describe the cultural forms and values in the mowindahako ritual of the Tolaki Mekongga ethnic group in Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research used qualitative descriptive methods. The research data was obtained from the utterances spoken by the Tolaki people, namely the traditional figure/spokesperson during the traditional procession. The research results show that mowindahako is full of cultural values that are very important to know, understand and use as a guide in the internal lives of its proponents. These values include responsibility, mutual respect, mutual acceptance, brotherhood, safety, moral ethics and courtesy, and educational value.
