Nominal Models of Youth Work Terms in Vietnamese

This paper presents the results of research on the nominal models of youth work terms in Vietnamese. The data includes 1587 terms collected from online news and document systems related to youth work on the electronic information portal of the central agency of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. To elucidate the nominal models of youth work terms in Vietnamese, descriptive methods, along with statistical and classifying methods, were employed. Through a survey of 1587 terms to investigate the signs that serve as the basis for the identification of youth work terms in Vietnamese, we divided these terms into 10 semantic categories. The findings reveal that derivative youth work terms in Vietnamese are created based on semantic relationships and the selection of 12 specific nominal attributes. The study also discovered 39 nominal models of youth work terms in Vietnamese. Based on the research results, the paper offers some recommendations for developing and standardizing youth work terms in Vietnamese as well as translating this terminology into English.
